Good Friends, Good Causes, and Good Times

This weekend was just bunches of fun. Saturday we slept in (which, for us here means 9:45ish-mom will be so proud) and just went out for a bit in the afternoon to Covent Garden. Since it was a Saturday, it was pretty crazy: people milling about, street performers doing odd tricks for a couple quid, lots of street vendors and shops, and this cool thing. This cool thing I speak of was cross between a celebration of love and a fundraiser by the British Heart Association. We decided to pitch in and take part, see pictures below!

they had this heart set up
and also an
L-O-V-E
too
 so cute
"Still in love after 41 years!!"
the ladies helping out were super friendly!
within the bag was a lock and heart
it's very cool that they were doing that!
 we all signed it
super fun
there's ours!
we put it on the O of love
we walked up and down this street
looking for this plaque
Caitlyn (she's a champion) spotted
we were stopped to take a picture
with this sign to support a movement
to give the women of Afghanistan more rights!
pretty cool
after that we went to the M&M's store
they don't sell M&M's in most stores
oh, and that's Taylor
she's great
 so many M&M's!
 Abbey Road, M&M's style
did I mention that this store has four levels?
Taylor and I with our school spirited bags of overpriced M&M's!
(she plays soccer for UMHB-also gold and purple!)

On Sunday, we attended church at Westminster Abbey, way cool! The service was super traditional, the choir exceptional, and the experience slightly surreal. After that, we went across to the south side for lunch at this nice hot dog stand-but-with-a-building. Lots of fun, and afterward we went by a book fair (with SO many great books, it's a good thing I only had a couple pounds with me), which was awesome!

we were really excited

 a street "performer" ish guy
caught Caitlyn
and made her a bracelet
 the bubble guy was back!
 there were different characters
dressed up all crazy
and you can take pictures
and then they want your money
it's fun
to watch
i'm just going to have a
"let's pretend this is a fashion blog" moment
black Macy's tights, black Payless flats,
a thrifted (and self hemmed) skirt ($0.30),
target shirt, primark (2 pounds!) bag,
and Old Navy coat (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!)
Megan, Caitlyn, Taylor, and I enjoyed lunch
with a couple of our professors
we had a ball!

Today we had a nice tour around St. Paul's/Tower of London area and learned about the Plague and Fire which destroyed the city long ago. And Megan, Caitlyn and I went to a FREE organ concert earlier today!

Happy Monday, y'all!
